Redfern Medical Centre

Myhealth Redfern is a mixed billing practice. We provide bulk billed appointments for eligible patients. Appointments for other medicare and non-medicare card holders will attract private gap fees.

Bulk billing is available for the following groups who hold a valid medicare card:

• Under 16 years of age
• Pension card holders 
• Health Care Card holders (HCC) 
• Veteran's affairs (DVA) Card holders 
• Chronic Disease Management plan (Care plan) consultations. 

For Medicare Card holders who do not fall into the above categories a flat gap fee will apply to all standard consultations (including telephone/telehealth appointments).

Consultation gap fee:
Weekdays: $20
Weekend: $40

(Please note: A physical debit card will be required to provide you with your medicare rebate on the day. If this is not available, you can submit the claim via the Express Plus Medicare App. Please ask reception for assistance with this if you encounter any difficulties. We recommend you bring your physical debit card to allow us to provide you with your medicare rebate immediately, instead of requiring you to claim it yourself through medicare.)

For those who have Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) and Overseas Visitor Health Cover (OVHC), a flat gap fee will apply to all standard consultations. For those with other insurance, the full private fee will be charged but may be claimed back with private or travel insurance.

OSHC/OVHC Consultation gap fee:
Weekdays: $40
Weekend: $60

Private consultation fee:

Weekdays
Standard appointment: $81.40
Long appointment: $120.10

Weekend
Standard appointment: $101.40
Long appointment: $140.10

Skin checks and procedures attract different fees to consultation fees. This will generally be discussed with your doctor during your consultation.

Skin check gap fee:
Weekday: $60
Weekend: $80

Procedural gap fees:
Implanon removal: $100
Implanon insertion: $50
Skin lesion excisions: $150 (May vary based on practitioner and location)

Iron infusions will be available at this practice. This is anticipated to start in June 2024. Please check back for updated information.

Radial Shockwave Therapy fees: $90 per session
- please note a brief consultation with a doctor will be required prior to each session

Chiropractic service fees:
Initial consultation: $110
Subsequent consultations: $90
